Christmas Festivities

As Christmas comes around, so too do the parties. For me, one with my SCA friends and the other my my work friends. Feel very lucky to have these wonderful people in my life making uni and work even more enjoyable.

Tea Party

Earlier this month, a few of my uni friends and I caught up to have a picnic at Freya's new house. Partially also an housewarming it was such a perfect, warm sunny day for it. With the sunlight streaming in through the big windows and onto the balcony we took some beautiful photos and ate some delicious food. Lavender cupcakes, biscuits, pink lemonade, pavlova nests, cheese twists and more. First Tash, Freya and I walked to the local shops and gathered our ingrediants, taking photos with the stunning gates and flora along the way. Then baked, cooked and prepared our goodies back at the house. Lastly everyone arrived and we ate and chatted til we went to SCA and saw the Post-Graduate Exhibition and had dinner in the city. It turned out to be such a wonderful day. I took so many photos, it was difficult to pick through them to decide which ones I wanted to include, but here they are.

With only 9 more sleeps til Christmas I'd like to wish everyone a beautiful and wonderful Christmas. It's such a lovely time to spend with family and friends xoxo

Gingerbread Houses

Last night my Mum and I made our first Gingerbread Houses. It was something I really wanted to do this year as a first as well as to begin a family tradition. It took most of the night but was well worth it in the end.  This is the result, Mum's is the one with substantially more lollies haha. Can't wait to eat it!

Tucker

Tucker. At 8 weeks old. Border Collie x jack Russell /Mini Foxy Terrier.

This little one is a close friend's new puppy. He is just the sweetest, and cheekiest little thing. These photos were taken about a month ago so he has definitely grown since then. Will have to update his progress :)

SCA

I have been studying at Sydney College of the Arts for two years, just finishing up my second a month ago. I only have one year left of my course before I graduate. I can honestly say I will be very sad to complete my journey at SCA and not be able to see such interesting and amazing people everyday, both the students and lecturers. I'm excited to start back in early March next year, can't wait to be in that art atmosphere again. While I've been painting and working away in my summer break, it's still not quite the same with the peer support and advice. I work in the painting studio but I also had electives in printmedia and next year photomedia. I've meet wonderful people and had amazing experiences at the Rozelle campus, so glad I made the interview and got into the course in 2010. Seems like such a long time ago. My days during semester are always full of surprises and spontaneity. I've included a series of photos from one of those days, from breakfast at Jets in Town Hall to our Studio Theory class at uni.

Triple J Roadtrip Relay

This year I've been lucky enough to have had a fair few weekend holidays. I decided to enter the Triple J Roadtrip Relay, and see if they would accept any of my photos. They did and there are also some fantastic submissions but other roadtrippers, so feel free to follow the link and have a peruse.

Pyrmont Shoot

Last month I did a mini photoshoot with one of my closest friends, Freya. She's such a natural beauty with class and gorgeous vintage style and an absolute joy to photograph. These were taken in Pyrmont Sydney, with Darling Harbour in the background. It's amazing how when you meet someone you can't imagine how special they will be to you a few months, or years, down the track. I can only say this for a few people but Freya really has become an irreplaceable friend in my life. This is definitely not the last series of photos you will see of her.
